Suzuki's Mat Mladin took the win in the first of two races this weekend at Road Atlanta today. Finishing second, after crashing earlier in the race and having to re-start from the back of the grid was Mladin's teammate and championship competitor Ben Spies. Finishing third today was Kawasaki's Jamie Hacking.
Just two points separate Spies and Mladin (with Spies leading in the championship). There are two races remaining, including one at Road Atlanta tomorrow, and one at Laguna Seca Raceway in two weeks. For additional details, results and points, visit the official AMA Superbike site here.
