Two AMA Superbike races were held this weekend in Topeka, Kansas, a venue boycotted by multi-time AMA Superbike champion Mat Mladin. In Mladin's absence, the weekend was dominated by Ducati-mounted Larry Pegram, who won both races. In Saturday's race, the riders finishing behind Pegram were Ben Bostrom (Yamaha) in second place, and Blake Young (Suzuki) in third. Sunday saw the podium filled out by Tommy Hayden (Suzuki) in second place, and Josh Hayes (Yamaha) in third.

Despite his non-participation in Topeka, Suzuki's Mat Mladin continues to have a large points lead in the AMA Superbike championship. For additional details, results and points, visit the official AMA Superbike web site here.
