Stewart and Reed on a Different Level From the Field

Stewart and Reed on a Different Level From the Field

By Dirck Edge

I suppose it is no surprise, but last evening in Anaheim on a rutted, slimy track, Chad Reed and James Stewart completely outclassed the rest of the riders. After crashing in the first corner, Stewart worked his way into second place, but ultimately could not close the gap on Reed. Reed finished more than 20 seconds ahead of Stewart, while Stewart was more than 20 seconds ahead of third place Tim Ferry.

Last year, Stewart had Reed covered. He was simply faster. Looking at the lap times last evening, Reed may have closed the gap a bit. In any event, if they stay healthy, these two riders could easily win every single supercross race this year.
