A more radically-styled Yamaha FZ1, with a more powerful engine, is rumored for 2006. The FZ1 already has a prior generation R1 engine, but a new naked bike from Yamaha could receive the current R1's power unit tuned for 150 horsepower.
If a new FZ1 will debut for 2006, expect to see it officially announced this September.
