San Marcos, CA – August 6th, 2008 After his podium performance at round 9 of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championships, Connexions Sports and Entertainment’s Josh Grant headed to X Games 14 in Los Angeles, California with an abundance of excitement and confidence. With his goal set at winning a medal, Grant succeeded with a solid Bronze Medal performance in Saturday’s Moto X competition.

Despite hitting the dirt early in the main event while trying attempt a pass on legendary Supercrosser Jeremy McGrath, Grant would overcome to the dry track conditions and push his way back to the front of the pack. As the 8 lap main event ended, he was able to close the gap on McGrath once again and finish on the podium and earn an elusive X Games Medal.

“This was a great experience and to just get a medal was awesome,” Grant commented when asked about Moto X. He added, “The track was really slick and I made some mistakes obviously, with crashing, but to be able to come back and get third was good.”

XG14 would also mark Grant’s first attempt at a little freestyle fun as he competed in the Best Whip competition. “You know, I didn’t win Gold, but getting to ride with RC, Potter, Renner and the other guys was sick, I can’t wait ‘til next year!”

Round 10 of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championships return to action August 16th and 17th at Spring Creek MX Park in Millville, Minnesota.
