I was sitting here reading my copy of Cycle News when I saw the Suzuki advertisement on the back cover proudly announcing that Mat Mladin's wins at Mid-Ohio gave Suzuki 41 consecutive AMA Superbike victories. I had to marvel at the dominance of Mladin's team over the past several years. Although now known as Rockstar/Makita/Yoshimura Suzuki, the driving force behind the team for the past several years has been the Yoshimura crew. As we have said before, none of the other factories has found a way to beat this team (Yoshimura Suzuki has won 8 of the last 9 AMA Superbike championships). More often than not, at least lately, Yoshimura Suzuki finishes first and second in each race.

Considering the competition (how about former WSB champion Neil Hodgson on a factory Honda similar to the bike Carlos Checa has ridden to two WSB victories this year), has there ever been a team this dominant in a major roadracing championship (a world championship or factory contested national championship such as AMA or BSB)? I would like our readers to weigh in on this with their thoughts.
