After setting the pace in Qatar a few weeks ago, Troy Bayliss and Ducati were quickest during the first day of testing at Phillip Island. In fact, the new Ducati superbike took four of the top eight lap times.
Thus far, the WSB rule amendment permitting 1200cc twins seems to have the potential to create a performance advantage to twins similar to the situation in WSB a few years back. We will keep a close eye on pre-season testing and keep you updated.
