After Anaheim I, it looks like the Western Region Supercross Lites crown will go to either Jason Lawrence or Ryan Dungey. Lawrence and Dungey distanced themselves from the other riders last Saturday evening to finish first and second in the main event, respectively.
Lawrence and Dungey also had the two quickest practice laps, as well as the two quickest laps in the main event.
Dungey has been training at James Stewart's Florida track, and Stewart says Dungey is riding very impressively. Lawrence has always been fast, but somewhat inconsistent. Lawrence is now training with Ryan Hughes, and should benefit from the increased conditioning (Hughes is known to push his riders very hard).
