2002 Suzuki GSX-R Changes

by Dirck Edge

Very few changes to Suzuki's GSX-R machines (600, 750 and 1000) this year. Other than a new exhaust pipe (polished stainless steel, rather than last year's matte black finish), and twin low beam lights, the significant changes are confined to the 750.

Undoubtedly dictated by the World superbike race team, the GSX-R750 receives an adjustable swingarm pivot point. Frankie Chili complained about his factory racer's handling this year, and the swingarm pivot adjustment is just another tool in setting up the Suzuki superbikes. The 750 also receives a fuel injection refinement.
