Davi Millsaps (Honda) took a convincing win in the AMA Supercross event held in Detroit last evening. Finishing second and third, respectively, were Tim Ferry (Kawasaki) and Kevin Windham (Honda). The championship points leader Chad Reed was injured in practice, and struggled home in 12th position in the main event.
In the Eastern Region Supercross Lites Main event, Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto took another win, this time ahead of Ryan Morais (Yamaha) in second place, and Branden Jesseman (Kawasaki) in third place. Points leader Trey Canard (Honda) finished back in tenth place, allowing Villopoto to pull within three points of the championship series lead with one race remaining.
