Ducatis Still Quick, But Bayliss Hurt in Phillip Island Testing

Troy Bayliss has a suspected broken collar bone following completion of WSB testing at Phillip Island earlier this week. According to a WSB press release, the bones are not displaced, and Bayliss should heal in about three weeks . . . plenty of time to be ready for the opening round in Qatar. in late February.

We are watching the performance of the Ducati 1200s, and Ducati took three of the four quickest lap times in Phillip Island with this new machine. So far, the 1200cc displacement rule for v-twins appears to confer a bit of an advantage as the teams test their 2008 machinery
