With the introduction of Ducati's Hypermotard, large displacement super motos are definitely all the rage. Who is next to the party? Probably, Aprilia, if rumors out of Europe are to be trusted. It is certainly logical, as well.
With Aprilia far along in its development of a four-cylinder superbike, its v-twins should displace 1200cc, or therabouts, before too long. A super moto 1200 is only logical given the popularity of this class of motorcycle in Europe. Perhaps, we will see something this Fall.
