Stewart's absence was due to a crash in practice that resulted in a trip to the hospital. We have heard that his injuries include a sore back and shoulder, as well as a possible concussion, but we have no details at this point. Stewart missed both motos.
In the Lites class, the overall win went to Ben Townley (Kawasaki) with 1/3 moto scores. Second overall was Ryan Dungey (Suzuki; 2/2). Finishing third overall was Jason Lawrence (Yamaha; 4/4). Defending champ Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki) failed to make the overall podium despite winning the second moto, because a mechanical problem caused him to abandon the race in Moto 1.
Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) still leads the Motocross class in points, despite not racing today (he is retired). In the Lites class, teammates Villopoto and Townley are tied for the series points lead. For additional details, results and points, visit the official AMA Motocross site here.
