It is "retro" night at Anaheim Stadium this Saturday where the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series will celebrate the 1980s and feature a track which is a "replica" of the 1986 Anaheim track where Ricky Johnson and David Bailey had their classic duel.
We are assuming the track will not be an exact duplicate of the 1986 track. Although it would be nice to see some different elements, and a different rhythm, advances in suspension design, power delivery and traction mean modern riders jump much further than the two-stroke riders of 1986. It would make sense that jumps be spaced a bit differently, for instance. As we get more details on the track, we will pass them along.
