BMW has shown the new K1200R to the motorcycle press assembled in Munich at Intermot. A naked version utilizing the same engine, frame and suspension technology as the recently introduced K1200S (reviewed here by MotorcycleDaily), the new roadster is expected to have more than 160 horsepower and weigh less than 500 pounds dry. Don't expect to see the K1200R available as a production machine in the U.S. until the latter part of 2005, as a 2006 model.
