Hacking Wins First AMA Superbike Race at Road Atlanta

Jamie Hacking won a close race over Suzuki teammate Mat Mladin at Road Atlanta today. The riders started on a wet track, but a dry line emerged and Mladin, the only rider to start with a rear slick, made great headway towards the end and nearly edged his teammate for the victory. Suzuki took all three spots on the podium, with Aaron Yates finishing third.

Last week’s winner, Yamaha’s Anthony Gobert, had problems with his rear brake on the first lap and could not continue. A second Superbike race, as well as the AMA 600 Supersport race, will be held tomorrow.
