Nicky Hayden Wins Daytona 200

With Suzuki’s Mat Mladin sitting out due to a severely swollen elbow, Honda’s Nicky Hayden cruised to a relatively easy victory in today’s Daytona Superbike race. Finishing second was Suzuki’s Jamie Hacking, with Yamaha’s Anthony Gobert third.

Gobert’s ride was particularly heroic, given his physical condition (he raced with a broken collarbone) and, more significantly, his concern for his brother Aaron’s health.
