Hangtown National Motocross Results

Well, the question has been answered. Ricky Carmichael can ride a four-stroke. Carmichael dominated today’s opening round of the AMA Outdoor National Motocross series, taking the big bike class with a sweep of both motos. Finishing second overall was Yamaha’s David Vuillemin (4/2), with Chad Reed (Yamaha) third overall (3/3). Windham ended up with the same points as Vuillemin and Reed, but finishes fourth overall due to his lower finish in the second moto (2/4).

In the 125cc class, Kawasaki’s Bubba Stewart took both moto wins, but the races were much closer than typical Stewart victories. Stephane Roncada (Kawasaki) finished second to Stewart in both motos, and exchanged the lead with Stewart numerous times in the second moto. Finishing third overall on the day was Mike Brown (Yamaha) with 4/4 moto finishes.
