Steel City MX Results

Honda’s Ricky Carmichael took yet another overall victory in today’s AMA Outdoor National MX 250cc race at Steel City in Pennsylvania. Carmichael is now only one race away from repeating his historic perfect season of two years ago.

Second overall went to Kevin Windham (Honda), who rode to a strong 2-3 showing for the day. Surprise podium finisher Mike Alessi (Honda) took an impressive 5-4 for third overall in only his second pro national.

Jeremy McGrath (Honda) returned to action at Steel City today, and made a successful bid to keep his national number 2. He finshed 15-32 for 20th overall.

James Stewart (Kawasaki) had another dominant performance in the 125cc class, winning both motos for the overall win. In the process he surpassed the record for career 125cc wins, previously held by Ricky Carmichael.

Suzuki’s Broc Hepler had an excellent result at his home race, going 3-5 for second overall. Third overall in the 125s went to Troy Adams (Kawasaki), his 7-3 finishes giving him his first national podium.
