The AMA Supercross Series visited the Georgia Dome in Atlanta tonight, and for the first time we got the chance to see the Lites East riders on the track. Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey came out on top in the Lites battle, followed by Arenacross vet Darcy Lange (Kawasaki) and Matthew Goerke (Yamaha).
In the Supercross class, James Stewart (Kawasaki) led from flag to flag, closely followed by Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki), who crossed the finish line just 1.5 seconds back in second place. Yamaha’s Chad Reed was a distant third, more than 30 seconds behind.
Dungey’s win gives him an early lead in the East-coast Lites points, closely followed by Lange. In the Supercross class, Stewart stretched his lead to 188 points to second-place Chad Reed’s 171.
