Finishing fourth in the second moto at Millville in the Lites division behind the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki juggernaut was a young rider making his pro debut.
If you are not a hard core motocross fan, you probably have not heard of Trey Canard. Just 16 years old, Canard was a bit of a late bloomer as an amateur, but he came on strong and won several titles in the last couple of years. He was given the AMA Horizon award following a dominating performance at the Amateur National Motocross Championships held at Loretta Lynn’s ranch earlier this year.
Riding for the Sobe Samsung No Fear Honda team, Canard will contest the remaining Nationals (there are three left) and try to improve on his Moto 2 finish at Millville. By all accounts he is a humble, hard working kid who could go a long way.
