Cycle News Reports Neil Hodgson Will Race AMA Superbike for Honda in 2008

All should be revealed at the American Honda dealers meeting tomorrow, but the Cycle News web site is reporting that 2003 WSB champ Neil Hodgson will race for American Honda in the AMA Superbike series next year.

Hodgson is a British rider who was dominant during the 2003 WSB series for Factory Ducati, but later struggled in MotoGP before racing a Ducati in the AMA Superbike series.

Although he has done development work recently for Suzuki and others, Hodgson will be returning to racing after a brief hiatus. Honda is expected to announce a new CBR1000RR tomorrow, which will form the basis for a new superbike in 2008.
