The final round of the AMA Motocross championship was held at Steel City Raceway earlier this weekend, and Kawasaki’s James Stewart completed a perfect season (winning every moto contested this year). Finishing second and third on the day were Tim Ferry (Kawasaki; 2/2) and Broc Hepler (Yamaha; 3/3). Tim Ferry finishes second in the championship this year, while Honda’s Andrew Short finishes third.
In the Motocross Lites division, Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey had a perfect day (1/1) to take the overall win ahead of Nico Izzi (Suzuki), who finished second overall (5/2), while Jake Weimer (Honda) finished third overall (6/3). Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto had already clinched the championship in the Motocross Lites division, but finished off the podium this weekend.
