We do not normally cover freestyle motocross, but the biggest event of the year began this evening, the X Games, and the young legend Travis Pastrana easily captured his 7th freestyle gold medal. In fact, Pastrana had already secured the medal before his final run, but still chose to take it and successfully complete a double back flip in front of an astonished crowd at the L.A. Coliseum. Pastrana will also be competing in several other events at the X Games, including rally car events and “Moto X Speed and Style” on Sunday.
With regards to motor racing, TP is a genius. To master Motocross, Supercross, Freestyle MX, Rally, Rallycross… takes someone remarkable.
Not many people can master 1 discipline, let alone that many.
P.s. The plural of GENIUS is GENII.

Matt was paralyzed temporarily until swelling went down. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t the first time a 19 year old kid got into a car accident (this happened like 8 years ago).

Pastrana is a genius. Anyone who can master some many skills and be the best for so many years is a genius. What’s next? GP racing? Formula racing? NASCAR?
