In the letter, Strickland states that statistics have shown the BAC of motorcyclists have been higher than vehicles (paraphrasing) and they've found illegal handlebars and unsafe tires. Really? I'd like to see that particular document and verify where the hell they got that information regarding BAC percentages. Absolutely absurd. Where's the statistic that shows how many inattentive drivers (texters, cell-talkers, blatant disregard for traffic, etc) killed innocent motorcyclists? This is just another attempt to induce unwarranted control over the motorcycle community and I'm appalled this sort of crap would ever pass through someone's hands without someone calling BS.
