Cypress, Calif., June 14, 2011 – Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. is pleased to announce another incredible opportunity to bid on two of its American MotoGP riders’ racing gear, all to benefit Feed the Children, Yamaha Motor Corporation’s corporate charity.
The first set of leathers to be auctioned are directly off the back of Team Yamaha Factory rider, “The Texas Terror”, Ben Spies, who has generously donated a set of his original Alpinestars factory leathers, boots and gloves.
The second package is from none other than Team Monster Tech 3 Yamaha rider, “The Texas Tornado”, Colin Edwards. Colin’s gear includes a full set of gear worn by the American MotoGP Star, including Spidi leathers, his Arai helmet and Sidi boots and gloves. Colin has also donated a 4 day “Texas Tornado Boot Camp” session at his exclusive camp in Texas.
The winning bidder(s) will also receive a pair of weekend 3-day general admission passes including paddock access to the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, July 22-24 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and hotel room for Friday through Sunday, July 22-24.
The winner(s) will also be invited on stage Saturday evening during the scheduled GE-sponsored concert ceremonies to receive their personally autographed gear directly from Ben and Colin.
