Supercross and Off Road Racing 2012!….Bring it On!!

January 6, 2012 Cypress, CA…..The 2012 Monster Energy Supercross season kicks off this Saturday night, January 7th, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in California and Yamaha riders are ready to rock and roll to the podium!

Team Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) featuring the one and only James Stewart and his new team mate Davi Millsaps, will be leading the way on their booming 2012 YZ450Fs. During the opening round press conference held yesterday, January 5th, James looked fit, loose and more confident than ever of victory!

The Star/Valli racing team and their contingent of riders will be tackling both the Supercross class and Supercross Lites class for 2012. Austin Stroupe and Ryan Morais will be racing both the Supercross Series and Motocross series on their YZ450Fs while Nico Izzi will be splitting his time racing the YZ250F on the West Coast and the remainder of the Supercross season and the Motocross season on a YZ450F.Leading the charge on YZ250Fs on west coast will be Ryan Sipes and Gareth Swanepoel, while Kyle Peters and Kyle Cunningham will be tackling the east coast. All four riders will be racing their YZ250Fs in Motocross.

The all important off road season gets under way on the west coast on Jan 16 with the start of the WORCS series at Glen Helen Raceway. The Valli Motorsports Off-Road Team is back with both Kyle Summers and Ross Neely contesting the WORCS series and the AMA Western Hare Scrambles on YZ450Fs.

On the east coast the GNCC series gets into full swing on March 12 as the Am-Pro team of Paul Whibley and Jordan Ashburn take on the XC1 class and the newly formed Obermeyer Yamaha/Raines Riding University Team of Morgan Moss and Brad Bakken tackle the XC2 class. Both teams will also compete in the OMA series and AMA National Enduro series.
