The importer let me have i over the weekend and guess what? I liked it. A lot actually! Better than the new Tiger Explorer which I did a road test of a few days later. So I bought one and now I'm a happy Stelvio 2012 mod. owner. Took it out on a gravel trip today and boy! did she like it? Oh yeah!!! Getting the Stelvio was like coming come :-) I did a road test of the Stelvio for the newspaper I work for. The importer let me have i over the weekend and guess what? I liked it. A lot actually! Better than the new Tiger Explorer which I did a road test of a few days later.

So I bought one and now I’m a happy Stelvio 2012 mod. owner.
Took it out on a gravel trip today and boy! did she like it? Oh yeah!!!

Getting the Stelvio was like coming come :-)

I think Guzzi are fantastic machines, hopefully Piaggio can develop a broader dealer network and not drive their existing dealers insane with their bureaucracy. There are some fantastic Guzzi dealers out there, unfortunately you can count them on, at most, two hands. As Provalogna says, they really are selling all they can import, same with the beautiful green Griso SE. I'm sure it's just fine on a well maintained road but the waistlines on these Adventure Bikes keep getting bigger and bigger. Yep, she'd be nice cruising down a 2 lane but I'd hate to have to pick her up on a desolate road in the middle of nowhere. A pig in a pretty dress is still a pig. The industry must think "The Look" sells the bike, not pure function. I'm liking small, lightweight and reliable. Stand back Eve, I don't know how big this thing's going to get! 1300-1400 cc bikes will be on the horizon before you can don sunglasses. Jeez A very good review. But back then their reliability seemed dubious, their power was down from the popular Japanese brands and dealers were few and far between plus they cost a good deal more. Today, I'd say they've improved on the first while the rest seems much the same although some models are competitive in power. Yet still there is that draw. Piaggio does, but they will never tell. The only way to ever know for sure is to sign up for recall notices with the NHTSA. When there's a recall, it'll say "units affected" and give you a number. If it's just for one year, that's probably it! If I was on a game show and had to guess, I'd say 150.
