Not overly happy for Rossi either. Second place is good, but tarnished somewhat by the fact that it essentially was a 7 bike field. Plus, Hayden is riding with a hand injury, so that leaves a total of 6 bikes who had even a shadow of a chance in hell of standing on the podium. So that amounts to half the field gets to stand on the podium.”

Strange race. I’m one of the few that have been pulling for Dani. Too bad. He’s one hell of a MotoGP racer and deserves a Championship. Jorge can virtually cruise his way to the Championship now. Not that I don’t think Jorge deserves it because he does, smooth, fast, smart, and safe..hard combo to beat. As far as Rossis 2 nd place, Im happy for him. Im not saying he’s back yet. He finished 2 nd in a 7 bike field. Lets see what he does next year on the Yamaha before declaring him competitive again. Same for Rea. Happy for him, but he’d have finished 11th or 12 th had everyone stayed on 2 wheels. I wish him well in the future. Happy for Bautista too, hard fought podium finish down to the wire. I always appreciated his efforts on he uncompetitive Suzuki.

Sure would like to see Suzuki and Kawasaki fielding teams again….and get rid of the CRTs.

This is Pedrosa’s first DNF of the season. Lorenzo had a DNF earlier in the season…

Racing is racing but it still feels like Dani was robbed. Unless Lorenzo crashes out or has mechanical problems this season just went from dull to super super dull. Rossi made a great showing on his Dudcati but he wouldn’t have even been on the podium if the aliens were all there.

It was good to see Rossi riding like he was enjoying it, and it was obvious that he was confident in his bike – something we haven’t seen much this season. And Ben Spies – he was riding faster than anyone on the track those last few laps, but it wasn’t quite enough to get him all the way through the 3-4-5 pack of Bautista, Dovizioso, and Bradl (although he did manage to pick off Bradl).

I imagine Dani was quite disappointed. That incident could well have cost him the championship.

I remember a previous article on here which said Vale was all but washed up??
I said then and I say now when he is happy on a bike he is still up there and all the doubters should not be so quick to judge one of the greatest of all time.

Strange race indeed. Real bunch of sadistic gremlins following Pedrosa today. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a brake locking-on to a tyre-warmer before. Weird.

Shout-out for Rae. Not brilliant in that he finished last of the prototypes, but it’s a green surface (plus there was still some oil on track from the Moto2 race) with a new bike, so it wasn’t too bad. At least he finished.

Moto2 was a thriller. Lead changed 4 or 5 times on the final lap. I realize many still have doubts over the quality of the Moto2 field, but you can’t fault the series for entertainment.
