Portugal WSB Results

Race 1 in Portugal was restarted due to an oil spill and ultimately run over just 16 laps.  Tom Sykes (Kawasaki) took the win ahead of second place Carlos Checa (Ducati) and third place Sylvain Guintoli (Ducati).  Championship contender Marco Melandri (BMW) was injured in a first lap crash and scored no points today.  We will update you on his condition.

In Race 2, Eugene Laverty (Aprilia) took the win ahead of Jonathan Rea (Honda) and championship leader Max Biaggi (Aprilia), in second and third, respectively.

Biaggi leads Sykes by 30.5 points, with one round remaining.  For additional details, results and points visit the official WSB site here.
