  1. Hefner says:

Man this rubs me the wrong way…

Do some searching if you don’t know the back story. Depending on who you believe, Kevin Schwantz got shafted by COTA and Dorna stood by and let it happen.

    • Dave says:

While it does sound like he and his promotion company got back-doored, he filed a suit against them on the 7th. Since he’s suing them he shouldn’t be at all surprised that they ran him off of the grounds for showing up after that date.

  2. bmidd says:

Kind of like winning a track day, means nothing until you are racing.

  3. WadeRR says:

Watch the governing bodies change the rules and change the weight anf front tires again.

  4. ducmeister says:

Where was Ducati? Audi must have cheaped out and kissed off this season.

  5. Bob L says:

Marquez is the real deal. Marc my words.

    • Hefner says:

I’d rather Marq your words… But yes, he does seem rather imposing at the moment. I said the same thing about Ben Spies right before the 2011 season though, so I wouldn’t start counting chickens yet!

      • Bob L says:

I know, I know….you’re probably right. I’m just impressed with him so far.
        (see the “misMarc” above)
Marq, Marq, Marq…there, I got it.

      • Norm G. says:

re: “so I wouldn’t start counting chickens yet!”

go ahead and count. he’s on a 213, he’s spanish, his gearbox costs a million bucks, he’s backed by oil money, and unlike dani was coming in… he’s no “shrinking voilet”.

  6. Ricardo says:

I am surprised Lorenzo was not as fast at least as Pedrosa….

  7. Vrooom says:

Hard to believe Marquez is beating Pedrosa by 6/10ths a of a second so quickly? Of course Pedrosa only did 24 laps, and probably not in need to really hanging pushing it in practice given his familiarity with the bikes and tracks. Still very impressive for Marquez.

    • Norm G. says:

(mental state #1) pedro doesn’t care for the track.

(mental state #2) marquez can’t believe he’s getting to ride an RC213.

      there’s your 6/10ths.
