Red Bull Hangtown Motocross Classic
Prairie City SVRA – Sacramento, Calif., May 30

  • Riders from eight different countries will attempt to qualify for the 250 and 450 Classes on Saturday afternoon.
  • The Hangtown Motocross Classic has traditionally been the opening round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. This year marks the first time since 2009 it hasn’t been first on the schedule.
  • Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey holds the 450 Class points lead after one round of racing. Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin holds the 250 Class points lead with a dominant 1-1 sweep at the opening round.
  • Martin’s victory at the season opener gave Yamaha its first overall win in the 250 Class since 2004, and served as the Minnesota native’s first career victory in the class.
  • With his win at round one, Dungey now holds the sole second place position on the All-Time Race Wins list with 28 career victories in the 450 Class. Ricky Carmichael holds the All-Time record with 76 career 450 Class wins.
