Ferrari two tenths from front row as Savadori chases the leaders

It has been a positive first day of free practice for Team Trentino Gresini MotoE who is tackling the second round of the first all-electric motorcycling World Cup at Red Bull Ring. Matteo Ferrari and Lorenzo Savadori have worked well during the two sessions available on a track they had not race upon before, while trying to find the braking marks and finding the limit upon the Energica bikes #11 and #32.

Matteo Ferrari was the fastest one of the two as he set the sixth-fastest time, which was two tenths slower than provisional pole, so he is likely be among the protagonists in tomorrow’s E-Pole. Lorenzo Savadori had more of a challenging day as he struggled in finding the right set-up for the bike. The experienced Italian rider will try to make the most of the extra FP3 session (which is currently scheduled only for the Austrian event), which will get underway at 8:30 local time.
