More rumors are swirling that Honda is far along in the development of a road bike with a V-5 engine configuration similar to its successful MotoGP bike. One issue Honda may be struggling with is whether to make the V-5 a limited edition, expensive machine or whether it should be a mass produced, affordable sport bike. Honda is also likely concerned about the extraordinary horsepower levels now being achieved by open class sport bikes, and, as a consequence, whether it should tune a V-5 for ultimate performance or deliver it in a conservative state of tune.
