A Healthy Millsaps Could Mix It Up With The Leaders In AMA Supercross This Year

By Dirck Edge

Still only 19 years old, Honda's Davi Millsaps is hoping for a better year in 2008 following a femur break last year that ruined his chance to shine in the Supercross class.

Millsaps has great natural ability on the supercross track, and appeared ready to mix it up with the faster riders in the Supercross category (having graduated from the Lites category) last year when his injury derailed those hopes, and basically put him on a road to recovery that lasted most of the year.

2008 is another chance for Millsaps to show what he is capable of doing in the big bike class. With James Stewart (Kawasaki) and Chad Reed (Yamaha) expected to be the front runners, Millsaps has an opportunity to be a consistent podium finisher in 2008, as well as the skill to eventually challenge these two on a supercross track. Let's hope Millsaps stays healthy this year and shows us what he can do against the two former champs.
