Soft demand for luxury goods, such as cruiser motorcycles, has apparently led to a fall in sales at Harley-Davidson and Polaris Industries (owner of Victory Motorcycles), according to a report on the Forbes web site. The same Forbes report indicates Harley will cut 1,100 jobs over the next two years, and close some manufacturing facilities, while Polaris plans to cut 460 jobs.
