SupermotoT

If you're a fan of KTM streetbikes-and really you just need to ride one to become a fan-2010 will be a happy year for you. KTM will be bringing in three new-to-the-USA models and bringing back two bikes it didn't import for 2009.

RC8R

The RC8 Superbike was only available in limited numbers for 2009, but now it will be supplemented by the RC8R. The slightly lighter R version, with an overbored 1190cc motor, higher compression ratio (good for a claimed 165 hp) and sharper chassis geometry, will now be on sale next to the standard RC8.

Supermoto R

On the supermoto front, the 990 Supermoto R and touring-oriented Supermoto T will now fill the hole made when the 950 Supermoto was dropped. Both bikes use the same 115 hp, 75-degree liquid-cooled four-valve V-Twin, tube-steel trellis chassis and four-piston, radial-mount Brembo brakes. But the T model gets a lower, more comfy seat, a windscreen, and luggage mounts: it's only 13 pounds heavier than the sporty R.

If you liked the Superduke and Superduke R, you'll applaud their return-they were absent from the 2009 lineup to clear out excess 2008 inventory. Also returning to the street lineup is the fun-and-friendly 690 Duke.
