Assen WSB Results

Assen WSB Results

By Dirck Edge

James Toseland (Honda) was the most consistent front runner today at the Assen round of the WSB series. Toseland finished first in Race 1 and second in Race 2. The Race 1 podium was filled out by Noriyuki Haga (Yamaha) in second and Ruben Xaus (Ducati) in third.

Finishing ahead of Toseland in Race 2 was Troy Bayliss (Ducati) with Max Biaggi (Suzuki) finishing in third behind Toseland.

A large number of riders crashed today, ruining at least one of their races, including Troy Corser (Yamaha), Xaus (in race two) and Lorenzo Lanzi (Ducati).

At the end of the day, James Toseland extended his already substantial series points lead over Max Biaggi. For additional details, results and points, visit the official Word Superbike site here.
