Moto Guzzi Stelvio Takes on BMW, et al.

The Milan Motorcycle Show opens early next week to the press, but Moto Guzzi has already released official photos of its new giant trailie, the Stelvio. The new Stelvio gets a version of the massively powerful eight-valve 1200 v-twin that first broke cover last year.

With a motor to take on the competition straight up, Moto Guzzi has also blessed the Stelvio with an excellent chassis, including an all new frame with single-sided swingarm (featuring Moto Guzzi's CARC shaft drive design). Giant 50mm upside down forks attach radial brake calipers, while the wheels are 19 inch front and 17 inch rear. Touring comfort and convenience are addressed by an adjustable seat and standard, integrated saddlebag mounts.
