Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Wilson and Baggett Geared Up For Atlanta

Corona, Calif. (February 24, 2011) – Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson and Blake Baggett look to pick up where they left off two-weeks ago as they go after more podium finishes at the second stop of the AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Region series in Atlanta, Ga.

Wilson earned his first heat race win of the season in Houston and narrowly missed the top step of the podium in the main event as he continues to get back up to speed after an injury he endured in December.

“I’ve been feeling good over the past two weeks,” said Wilson. “I am definitely getting stronger every time I ride, which really makes me excited to go to Atlanta and see how the hard work has paid off.”

Newest member to the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team, Baggett proved he had the speed to be on top throughout the day in Houston. His first race wasn’t an easy one as he came through the pack from 12th to join his teammate on the podium in third.

“I am happy to get away with a podium finish in Houston, but I know I can do much better than that,” said Baggett. “I just need to focus on getting a good start. That was my biggest difficulty in Houston. The whole team is incredible and has really helped me with my confidence.”

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki eastern region riders Wilson and Baggett are now on track for the next seven weeks as the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM Championship stays on the Atlantic side of the U.S. with the second stop at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.
