According to other press reports we have seen, and information coming out of Yamaha, Australian Anthony Gobert will return to the United States racing team for 2002. He will ride both the R7 Superbike and R6 Supersport in AMA competition next year. Gobert had won in each class riding for the U.S. Yamaha team this year before injuring his wrist. Despite his injury, Gobert is in good position to take second place in the 600 Supersport class with one round remaining.
