Good Performance for Leon Camier, 6th in Race 1 at Imola

MV Agusta Reparto Corse_043016

With ideal weather and track condition, Leon Camier managed a great race and finished 6th in Race 1 at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, in Imola, giving the MV Agusta Reparto Corse the best season finish in WorldSBK.

After the intense qualifying session in Tissot-Superpole2 this morning, witch saw the Leon qualifying 7th on grid, narrowly close the second row, in Race1 the Brit rider found a good feeling with his MV Agusta F4 RC machine, taking advantage of the more powerful engine the squad used here in Imola.

Camier managed a very good race, fighting on top 5. Unfortunately a little technical problem forced the rider to lose his position to Davide Giugliano but the British rider was able to find his rhythm again and finished his race in 6° position, getting 10 more point in overall standing.

MV Agusta and Leon Camier will be back on track tomorrow, at 13.00 Italian time, for the second and  final race of the Motul Italian Round 2016.

Leon Camier #2 – Today was definitely a positive day, we tried the new engine and it seems we are moving on the right direction, even in terms of engine power. We started really fast from the first sessions and we did a good job in qualifying as well. I am sorry we lost one position at the end but the 6th place is a really good result.
