Grant Langston has quite a resume. After winning a World championship for KTM, he came to the United States and won KTM’s first supercross main event (on a 125) and, more importantly, KTM’s first Outdoor National Motocross championship (again, on a KTM 125SX).
Langston is leaving KTM for 2005 to ride a Pro Circuit-backed Kawasaki KX250F. Eligible in the 125 class (of course), the KX250F was, perhaps, the best machine available in the 125 class for supercross for 2004. Ivan Tedesco dominated the 125 Western Region series on one, and, by all accounts, this dominance was attributable, in part, to the machine (Tedesco grabbed plenty of hole shots, as did teammate Stephane Roncada on his own KX250F).
For the most part, Langston has struggled at supercross since coming to the United States several years ago. Maybe, a switch to the KX250F will make a difference for Langston in 2005 indoors, where the four-strokes may have their biggest advantage in the 125 class.
