In an interview given to Motorcycle News of England, 35 year old, four-time World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty revealed he will retire from racing.
Testing the Ducati superbike at Mugello earlier this week — his first time on a superbike since his injury to his arm at the Australian round of the WSB Championship earlier this year — Fogarty was uncomfortable and well off pace.
After describing his difficulties with riding the superbike, he stated to MCN “That’s it, it’s over.”
