David Vuillemin won all six finals at the Bercy Supercross this weekend. Jeremy McGrath had a frustrating weekend, ending with injury to his thumb.
The first two nights saw four finals where David Vuillemin easily pulled away from Jeremy McGrath. McGrath had two crashes on Saturday night, and tried to ride on Sunday evening with an injured thumb. He pulled out after finishing second in his qualifier to Honda’s Sebastian Tortelli.
Tortelli was very fast on the Bercy supercross track — he looks like he has improved his supercross skills considerably.
McGrath looked out of sync, and his age and lack of practice (remember, he takes the 250 Outdoor series off each year) may finally be catching up to him. We will know for sure when the AMA Supercross series begins in January.
