We were at California Speedway this afternoon to observe early qualifying for this weekend’s AMA Superbike double-header. Honda’s Kurtis Roberts crashed hard entering one of the infield turns, and his bike appeared to follow him off the track and impact his body. We have not been able to obtain any official word from Honda on Kurtis’ condition, but AMA Superbike.com is reporting Kurtis suffered injuries to his right knee and left ankle. We will update readers when we hear something directly from Honda . . . probably tomorrow.
