Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki have, for years, had at least two 600cc machines in their lineup – one biased towards Supersport racing and one biased toward everyday street use. Rumors indicate Triumph and Honda may introduce new 600cc machines next year, which are very track oriented (similar to Yamaha’s “No Compromises” approach to recent sportbike developement). Lighter weight, more horsepower (but peakier, perhaps, with wilder cam timing), are likely part of the equation if these bikes appear.
