Mat Mladin (Suzuki) extended his points lead in the AMA Superbike championship series today by taking the first race of a double header at Barber Motorsports Park. Mladin crossed the finish line first, just 1/100th of a second in front of second place Jake Zemke (Honda; whom Mladin passed on the last lap). Finishing third was Miguel Duhamel (Honda).
