The AMA Motocross championship visited Binghamton, New York today for round 10 of the championship series. In the 250 class, Ricky Carmichael (Suzuki) was again perfect with 1/1 moto scores. Carmichael easily defeated Kevin Windham (Honda) in each moto, while Windham finished 2/2 ahead of Ernesto Fonseca (Honda), who was third overall on the day with 8/3 moto scores.
In the 125 class, Mike Alessi (KTM) took the overall victory with 1/2 moto scores ahead of Broc Hepler (Suzuki) who finished 3/1 and Andrew Short (Honda) who finished 4/4.
The 250 championship series is still led by Ricky Carmichael who may clinch the title in two weeks at Steel City (one round before the end of the series), while Ivan Tedesco (Kawasaki) continues to have a large points lead in the 125 class.
