We do not have many details, but pictured above is the E4-01 concept Honda will display at the Tokyo Motor Show beginning Saturday, October 22, 2005.
The E4-01, according to Honda, “offers customers a new take on motorcycling lifestyles”. Its appearance says something pretty clear to us — large motorcycle wheels and brakes will be merged with the ergonomics and wind protection (as well as the automatic transmissions) of scooters in the not-too-distant future.
We have spoken before about the blurring of the lines between scooters and motorcycles, and we have tested such large-displacement scooters as the Honda Silver Wing and the Suzuki Burgman 650, and the E4-01 may represent the next logical step in this “hybridization” of scooters and motorcycles.
We will have more details about this Honda concept and other Tokyo concepts as the show begins a bit later this month.
